Community Involvement - 2023 Third Quarter

Here at White Sands Hospitality, we take pride in celebrating the dedicated efforts made by our teams throughout the third quarter of 2023, as they worked tirelessly to uplift the many communities that make up the Forgotten Coast.

The Fourth of July is a cherished holiday here in the United States that commemorates the country’s declaration of independence. One of the most eagerly anticipated parts of the annual festivities on the Forgotten Coast is the many dazzling fireworks displays.

This year the Apalachicola Waterfront July 3rd Celebration took the main stage with an evening of fun-filled activities leading up to the grand waterfront firework display. White Sands Hospitality was this year's top sponsor while the Owl Café celebrated by serving their delicious beverages to the anticipated crowds.

The Elder Care Community Council, better known as the ECCC is a non-profit organization that provides various services to the elders of Franklin County including but not limited to transportation, activities, daily meals, and meal delivery to homebound elders. The Sizzler 5k is held every year on Saint George Island as a fundraising effort for ECCC services.

We had five amazing volunteers across our outlets come out and join the excitement. White Sands Hospitality donated 200 BBQ sandwiches from The Smokehouse and 200 cookies and chips provided by our Apalachicola food and beverage department. Our five volunteers braved the heat and prepared all 200 dinner plates to feed all participating runners and event volunteers.

Scallop Fest took place this Labor Day Weekend, transforming George Core Park in Port St. Joe into a vibrant hub of entertainment.

With two full days of excitement, attendees were treated to an array of live music, arts, crafts, food vendors, and more. Cape & Coast Premier Properties helped make this year's festivities possible by becoming patron-level supporters.

Florida State University offers leading undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs consistently ranking in the nation’s top twenty-five public universities. Providing the perfect opportunity to showcase our diverse outlets that makeup White Sands Hospitality!

Two of White Sands Hospitality's best talents were dispersed as boots-on-the-ground recruitment for the crowd of welcoming students. We had an amazing time exchanging impactful career discussions with Florida State University's upcoming young professionals. It was heartening to witness the enthusiasm and hunger for knowledge and ambition to excel in the wonderful world of hospitality. White Sands Hospitality eagerly awaits our next visit to Florida State University’s campus.

In the meantime, stay connected with us on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
