Community Involvement -2023 Second Quarter

Here at White Sands Hospitality, we celebrate the efforts made by our team during the second quarter of 2023 to help support the forgotten coast’s many communities.

The St. George Island Brewfest is an event fundraiser for the Franklin County Humane Society. All event proceeds benefit the stray dogs and cats that come into the Franklin County Humane Society’s care.

The St. George Island Brewfest received a new beachfront venue for its April 2023 event at Lighthouse Park on Saint George Island.

Our teams at Cape & Coast Premier Properties, Gibson Inn, Franklin Café, Best Western and Owl Café all pitched in to help fund our local non-profit Humane Society. Raising a combined donation of $1,025 to help keep the Franklin County Humane Society find stray cats and dogs their forever homes.

Additionally, the Franklin County Humane Society is a non-profit organization that strives to find homes for all unwanted pets that come into their care since 1991. With the facility’s continual growth, exciting new improvements are underway to the Franklin County Humane Society. White Sands Hospitality is thrilled to sponsor the facility with an exciting new addition that will unveil fall of 2023.

Franklin Education Foundation Inc. is a 501(c) non-profit organization whose mission is “to strengthen Franklin County Florida Schools through advocacy, investment of resources, community involvement and programs supporting teachers, guiding students to optimize their scholastic success.” The Franklin Education Foundation.

White Sands Hospitality was thrilled to aid in helping the Franklin Education Foundation Inc. continue its mission to strengthen the education of the Franklin County youth through supporting its 2023 campaign with a Platinum-level sponsorship.

The St. George Island Shrimp Festival is a May fundraising event for the St. George Lighthouse Association (SGLA). The SGLA is a 501c3 non-profit Florida corporation organized to preserve, maintain, and promote the Cape St. George Lighthouse.

Cape & Coast Premier Properties helped the continual need to maintain and promote the Cape St. George Lighthouse through a sponsorship donation.

The annual Apalachicola Home & Garden Tour takes place every May. The event features a variety of self-guided tours through historic homes and unique gardens located in the heart of Apalachicola.

Historic preservation is a vital part of White Sands Hospitality’s company pillars. Having restored 12 historic houses ourselves we were thrilled to help out Trinity Episcopal Church continue this local tradition through the support of a donation and social media giveaway.

Mexico Beach Welcome Center celebrated National Travel & Tourism Week with its annual punch on the porch. Featuring light refreshments, giveaways, industry updates, games and more.

Cape & Coast Premier Properties attended this year’s festivities. Donating some of their company swag as part of the event’s giveaways to guests.

Camp Moving Education Sponsorship Dinner - White Sands Hospitality Table

Camp Moving Education wrapped up its summer culinary week at the Holy Family Senior Center. Students from ages 10-19 under the tutelage of Chef Gormley created and served a six-course dinner to all guests.

White Sands Hospitality sponsored and decorated a table for the event. All sponsorship funds went to the Moving Education Institute. A non-profit 501 organization’s mission is to “support communities in their exploration of topics of interest through the arts” Moving Education Institute.
